The focus of Moore & Hunt is family law for all families. This includes family formation (through adoption and assisted reproduction), marriage or relationship dissolution, and estate planning.
Connie Moore, our family lawyer, has helped more than 800 people adopt children over the many years she has practiced. She also works with parents who are separating or transitioning with a goal of coming to a mutually beneficial agreement for themselves and any children involved, primarily using the collaborative family law process. Connie is a member of the Legal Advisory Council of the American Fertility Association. As such, she is part of an extensive network of professionals who have been developing the cutting edge law and establishing legal precedents for many types of reproductive arrangements.
Debra Hunt works primarily with individuals, same-sex couples, and nonmarried couples on estate planning, putting documents in place for unexpected events and to make sure that each person's rights are protected in the event of disability or death.
Both Debra and Connie are members of the National Family Law Advisory Council of the National Center for Lesbian Rights. The firm is a part of the cooperating attorney network of the Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund and the attorneys are charter members of the Texas State Bar Section on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identification Issues.
